Testing Forum on March 27th
BOE Rep Dan Anderson will be at our HSA meeting on March 12th to discuss an upcoming forum on school testing. We’ll have details in the meeting minutes; in the meantime here is more information on the forum:
High-Stakes Testing: Upcoming Town Hall
At the June and September HSA meetings, Board of Education representative Dan Anderson spoke to parents about the changing landscape of educational testing in New Jersey.
Specifically, Dan and others have raised the issue of high-stakes testing and its potential impact on students. For those interested, we wanted to let you know that Dan and Interim Superintendent Nicholas Dotoli will be hosting a town hall forum on this issue on Wednesday, October 30th.
The event will be at 7pm in media center at the high school. Below is a link to the full agenda, which also includes contact information should you want more information.
Board of Education Community Forum on June 6th
The Bloomfield Board of Education is launching a series of Community Forums to enable people to learn more about the school system and the BOE. The first forum, titled “Fiscal Transparency” will be on June 6, 2013 at 7pm in the Conference Room at 155 Broad Street. Acting School Business Administrator Dr. James P. Verbist will moderate.
